Take a look at this - it is very odd. It will be interesting to see how often this commercial airs.

June 7, 2008: This is interesting timing after having just gotten home from today's Mysteries of the Universe conference.. .

I have had two sightings (technically 3) in the past 20 minutes. Imagine looking up at the stars, fixing your line of sight on one specific cluster of stars, watching them for 3-4 minutes without looking away (intermittently looking through binoculars) and all of the sudden, clear as the hand in front of your face, one of the "stars" that had been stationary begins to move away from the other stars. Just when you realize you are really seeing this, it picks up speed. Then after about 15 seconds it makes a slight arc as if to change direction yet re-positions and speeds back up in its original direction. I watched this both with and without the binocs, jaw open and Spock eyebrow raised. I saw no flashing FAA red & green directional lights, no flashing white light on the bottom that you can usually see from miles and miles away...just a constant white light, never blinked once, higher than commercial jet altitude range, hauling ass across the sky in as inconspicuous a manner as you can imagine. If you glanced up you might not even notice it among the other stars. I followed it until it went out of sight, headed south/southeast at around 10:25.

As I sat on my back porch and enjoyed the moment, about 7-8 minutes passed and I saw another one, headed in the opposite direction. Same approximate altitude, no red & green FAA lights, no flashing white light, only the same constant white light and what appeared to be a very subtle wiggle to its flight pattern. And just as I was smiling to myself and enjoying this second moment, I noticed in my peripheral.. ..damned if there weren't TWO of them flying together. Plain as day. I didn't even notice the second one at first because of the distance between the two. The second one was out of my binocular scope but I spotted it when I pulled the binocs away from my eyes and then saw it moving. I'd guess they were about a mile apart or less. They were clearly flying the same speed, same direction and roughly the same altitude but lower than the first one that was headed south/southeast. . If an air traffic controller had two passenger jets flying that close together he/she is in dire need of a suspension from duty. I see and hear planes flying over my house regularly, and these were not planes...not from a visual perspective and certainly not from the lack of any jet engine noise.

Whatever they were I thought it was worth mentioning in case anyone else might see anything or have any insight. There may be a very rational explanation for what I'm seeing. I suppose I should be outside right now watching for more...

I just saw the fourth one of the night, this is unbelievable. Anyone in the KC/Independence area who reads these emails tonight, GO OUTSIDE NOW and take your binocs.

This last one was like a leaf in the breeze, it's flight pattern was like a squiggly line, and at one point it got very bright as it was moving.

Truly, truly unreal!

January 10, 2008: Independence, MO- At approximately 10:15 pm I arrived home from visiting family when I noticed an object in the sky moving from Southwest to Northeast. It was a very bright white light, and I thought it might be a plane, but it seemed too large. I could not see a shape. I watched as it moved across the sky quickly. As the object got to a point 45 degrees above the horizon, it suddenly stopped, backed up, then shot off extremely quickly to the Northwest. Reported by Margie Kay

January 5, 2000- St. Louis, MO: Officers with four area police departments witnessed a football field sized, triangular-shaped object at four o'clock in the morning on Wednesday, January 5th. Report #1. September, 1999: One person had photos of a sighting, and that incident is being investigated by Chris Brethwaite. The photos were of four objects that moved to different positions, and were taken by a local amateur photographer at sunset West of Emporia, Kansas. They are very striking, and show four objects in the typical saucer shape. A photo lab analyzed the photos and confirmed that the film was not altered in any way. Further findings will be posted.
